May 1, 2016 @ 4:00PM — May 3, 2016 @ 4:00PM
At altar table or dinner table, in the meeting room or around the picnic table, this strikingly diverse congregation is thriving in part because of its emphasis on authentic relationship and mutual service. This workshop offers an opportunity to experience the ministry and understand the organizational structure that provides order yet allows room for the Spirit to move.
There are two tracks for registration.
Track A is for individuals who have not previously attended worship or lunch at Haywood Street Congregation. It begins with Sunday dinner at the Downtown Welcome Table and includes informational and experiential sessions on Monday and Tuesday.
Track B is intended for individuals in the local or regional area who have visited before and are interested in attending the Monday and Tuesday sessions to learn more about the organization and structure of the ministry.
A group discount is offered for either track when a team of three people from a single organization register.
A limited number of partial scholarships are available from the General Board of Global Ministries on a first come, first served basis. To apply for a scholarship click here.
Lodging must be booked separately. A limited number of rooms are available to workshop participants at Brooks-Howell Home at $60 per night for a single room or $30 per night for a shared room or apartment.
